 Funny Grandma Story: When I Met My Man with a Chihuahua, a Rabbit, Two Frogs, and Some Crickets!

When I met my man, he already had quite a little zoo: a chihuahua, a rabbit, two frogs on a stick, and a few noisy crickets.

One night, in the beginning of our relationship, something very funny happened. I got terrible leg cramps and had to get up fast. The noise scared the frogs—they jumped off their stick and started hopping all around the room! My boyfriend chased them, trying to catch them, while I screamed and laughed at the same time.

Then I saw some bugs jumping—so I tried to step on them, thinking they were roaches! The rabbit ran out of its cage, the dog started chasing the rabbit, and chaos filled the room. I was laughing like crazy while my boyfriend was yelling, “You killed my crickets! Those were for the frogs to eat! What am I going to feed them now?”

I told him, “No way, I’m not helping! I don’t want that chihuahua to bite me again!” I just wanted to go home to my own apartment.

He finally said, “Everybody calm down, let’s have a drink and relax!” But I said, “No way! I’m going home!”

Later, we made up and went out again. And here we are—23 years later, still together. God is great! He has kept us together through laughter and love. My boyfriend turned out to be a good man, and I thank dear God for all His blessings on us.
