74 years's old grandma life 4/30/25

 page nr.2     Hollywood:

I was reading life stories of Paul Newman, etc..and another actors,who I see, they all made it in Hollywood...

So all my clothes,which I worked very hard 9 years, I just throw out.,I don't want people find out I move...Sorry,I know,I supposed to give those clothes to Salvation Army, Red Cross,  church,or leave them out in the street for homeless, but was very cold,was January,is very cold in New York,and I don't want get in trouble,leaving clothes in street,and catch fines,leaving them out like trash...

I have it a nice apartment by myself,2 rooms in Astoria, for 9 years, cheap rent, I pay only $280.00/month, I just don't care! I want to be a Hollywood actress... I put my clothes in 2 briefcases only,  also,1 bag: with my acting and comedy stand up tapes: from comedy clubs,and the last day in jan.25.1989, I worked as a waitress,  at Harrie's cafe,New York,I make for lunch only, like $20-$25.00 dollars, my briefcases I left them at Greyhound, and at 5:45 PM,  with on $275.00 dol,I take the Bus to Hollywood.Take me 3 days with Greyhound, I left friday,and I made it sunday 10 AM...I pucked all over the bus, I stay in the front,with a  paper bag ready,in case I don't feel good,smell of gasoline is not too strong,but is nasty...

I just arrived here in Hollywood,Ca. first time in my life, sunday morning at 10 AM,I went straight to YMCA, I pay for one room $28.00...I was very excited

I pray all the time, I love to work always, so I know, is no problem, I get a waitress, hostess,restaurant job,right away...

Monday night,I audition,in the Comedy Store

People was lauphing, I feel like home again...

I went up to Mitzi, I hear a lot about her, she was lauphing loud, I just know ,that lady have to be her...

She tell me:

You are very funny,you are hired,as a new,nonpaid regular,you call back later for you bookings

I say: Thank you and I hugged her.She was very nice to me.God rest her in peace,she's dead now...

When you trust God,pray a lot, he helps you to achieve,anything you want,so

thank you dear God,for everything...

I get a waitress job right away in Hollywood Blud.where is that comic, has his show now...I can think of his name right now...

Few days later, I get on the Gong show,right away.. they give me " press on nails",.what I supposed to do with "press on nails"? eat them when I'm hungry???

Mitzi at the Comedy Store, booked me,like 3 days,monday,tuesday,wedn. and she tell me to come in 7 days a week, for free,to watch comics,so I became better as a comic

I see: Pauly Shore, Mitzi son, in beggining, I don't know,he is Mitzi son,he was nice to me, always say: hi to me first, he was staying on the steps,when I used to go up to the Belly Room,to perform.I used to perform also in the Original room...

I never performed in the Main Room, it'sOK...

Also I see there: Jim Carrey,Howie Mandel,Jackie Mason,Uncle Miltie,.who come up after me in stage,and start to imitate my accent.I like it...

I signed up with Central Casting,as an extra film,tv

My first day,when I signed up,they booked me right away,folowing day, in the tv show: " La Law", I was very happy...

I can effort only 2 or 3 days, at YMCA, for a single room,so I talk to Michael,the mgr,and he let me sleep with like 10 0r more girls in the room, was the name" Youth Hostel", was only like $ 9.00 -nine dollars) per night,and after that,I was broke,so he ask me I want to be a cleaning lady,for only 2 hours in the morning? I say: YES,YES, thank you Michael.      God RIP Michael, Eddy,Mark, all these guys,died,and they been nice to me...so RIP again....angels...

So,I start to work for Central Casting, like 3-5 days a week, as an extra on film and tv sets,after that I used to come in the Comedy Store,almost every night, I quit my waitress job, so I start to have some money,not too much...

OK people, tomorrow I continue,my Hollywood journey...

73 years old grandma
